QESCO New Connection 2026 – Apply, Docs & Fees

Apply for a QESCO new connection through the national Electricity New Connection portal at enc.com.pk. Upload your CNIC, property proof, a witness CNIC, a nearby consumer’s reference number and a wiring test report, clear a short site inspection, then pay the Demand Notice. When the papers are complete, QESCO energises most new meters within 30 working days.

Fix your load before anything else

The load you declare sets two things: the Demand Notice amount and your monthly fixed charge. Estimate it honestly.

Single-phase covers a normal home — lights, fans, a refrigerator, one or two air conditioners. Three-phase is for heavier demand: central cooling, motors, a workshop, tube-wells, or a shop. Under-declaring to shrink the deposit backfires, because the inspector checks your actual wiring and can revise the load upward.

Before you commit to a load, estimate your bill at that usage so the running cost holds no surprise later.

The documents QESCO actually checks

Keep attested scans ready:

• Applicant’s CNIC — attested, both sides.
• Property ownership proof — Fard, registry, or file. Renting? You need the owner’s ownership document, not a tenancy paper alone.
• Witness CNIC — attested, usually a neighbour or family member.
• A neighbour’s recent electricity bill — the portal reads its reference number to fix your feeder and service area.
• Wiring contractor’s test report — or an Electric Inspector’s report where the load requires one.

A blurred CNIC or a wrong address is the single most common reason a file stalls. Get the scans clean the first time.

What the Demand Notice really covers

It isn’t a flat fee. The Demand Notice bundles your security deposit, the meter cost, and the service and labour for installation. The amount tracks your sanctioned load and phase, so a three-phase notice sits well above single-phase.

Connection charges were revised upward across all distribution companies in 2026, so the real figure is the one itemised on your own notice — not a fixed national rate. Pay it at the designated bank, through the portal, or by JazzCash or Easypaisa, then upload the paid receipt and hand a copy to your sub-division.

How long it takes, and what slows it

With clean documents and an existing network on your street, installation runs to about 30 working days. The delay case is network extension — if poles or wire must be added to reach you, material and construction stretch the timeline. A failed site inspection, unclear scans, or unpaid dues attached to the property will reset the clock.

Track it, and recover a rejected file

Every application carries a tracking number. The portal moves through submitted, under review, inspection, demand notice issued, payment received, and installation.

If yours is rejected, the usual causes are a wrong address, missing or unclear papers, outstanding dues tied to the property, or a location the network can’t yet serve. Correct the specific issue and resubmit — you don’t restart from zero. When QESCO misses its committed timeframe, raise the matter with NEPRA instead of waiting on the sub-division.

Prefer the counter?

You can skip the portal and file the NC Form in person at your nearest QESCO Sub-Division Office with the same documents. Verification, the Demand Notice, and installation work exactly the same way from there.

After your meter is live

Once energised, you’re issued a reference number and consumer ID. Your first statement arrives within a billing cycle, and from that point you can view your bill and pay it online.
